Program Overview
Most data programs stop at charts and dashboards. This one goes further into how human beings think, feel, and decide. Leader’s today are drowning in dashboards but starving for meaning. Attention spans are shrinking, cognitive load is rising, and decisions are increasingly shaped by how insights are framed rather than what the numbers say.
In boardrooms and executive forums, data rarely fails because it is inaccurate; it fails because it is misunderstood, misprioritized, or unpersuasive. Senior leaders are expected not just to present analysis, but to influence judgment, align stakeholders, and drive action often in minutes, not hours.
Storytelling with Data is an executive education program designed to bridge the critical gap between analysis and impact. The program equips leaders with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences such as boards, investors, regulators, customers, and cross-functional teams. Participants learn to move beyond “reporting” toward decision-oriented communication.
Grounded in insights from behavioral science, cognitive psychology, and real-world executive practice, the program focuses on how people process information, where attention goes, and why certain stories trigger trust, urgency, or resistance. Participants will learn how to structure narratives around business questions, select and simplify the right metrics, design visuals that reduce cognitive friction, and frame insights to support strategic decisions.
Rather than teaching tools or software, the program develops a leader’s mindset for data communication focusing on clarity over complexity, insight over volume, and action over aesthetics. Through case discussions, executive-level examples, and hands-on exercises, participants will practice turning data into narratives that influence strategy, accelerate alignment, and enable confident decision-making.
By the end of the program, leaders will be able to ensure that their data does not merely inform but persuades, aligns, and drives results.
Faculty
Mr. Suman Ghose holds an undergraduate degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur & an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
He has over two decades of corporate work experience in some of the world’s top multinational companies such as Cadbury’s, Intel, Philips and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Suman is a coach and trainer for the World Health Organization, part of the United Nations.
His experience spans areas of Leadership Development, Competency Development, Practice Building, Program Management and Business Consulting. Mr. Ghose brings with him global experience having worked in Asia Pacific and Europe.
Suman is co-founder of Inroads Leadership Development. Suman is an author, motivational speaker and performance coach. A keen listener, he acts as a partner to his client; takes time to understand and clarify what the client wants and co-creates solutions to get there.
Suman is co-author of a book on Emotional Intelligence namely, “From Command to Empathy – Using EQ in the age of Disruption”. It is published by HarperCollins and has features in Amazon Best Reads List.
He is qualified as a Coach from Erickson Coaching International, ICF accredited Coach training program.
